yanzala, pretty dresses! Esp. the first one...2 yrs ago my khala sent me one like that tea pink/peachy colour as a backup for my engmnt., but i ended up wearing wot my in-laws sent for me...i guess it's not "in" rite now...i have to make my wedding clothes in a few months Inshallah so i'm trying to figure out wot i want also...i know it's more impt. to wear something that suits u and that u like, but u can still do that and wear wot's in fashion...cos thesedays, there's something out there that suits every bride, hard bit is finding it and then having a designer/tailor who really understands wot u like and wot suits ur body, skin colour etc. :)

I have a picture of a recent bride in black. It's hard to see, but it was in a Pakistani newspaper recently. I'm not crazy about the outfit.

^ That's horrible (sorry!)...awful really.

I think black is so everyday and common to be wearing on ur wedding day...it's a nice colour for when ur a guest, but not as the bride...i think i'll be sticking to traditional red or pink.

Hmm, so i guess having turqouise combined with another colour (like red), is in fashion at the moment...well, it's different...i love blue, i want to wear it on my valima but my mum says blue looks good with silver jewellery...so now i'm confused...i'll have a better idea when i go to Pakistan i think.

hmm…what looks good on me…i look horrible in sky blue color:( but i think pink look good on me, that’s why i was looking fwd on getting pink (before joinning gupshup) but not anymore.
i am very skinny:crying: so i always have hard time with getting right fitting, but ppl have told me that if the fitting is right it will look even better so i have to be careful with fitting also.
that’s all that i have in mind right now

alot these days ive been seeing black wedding lehngas esp mixed with red...i think it looks really hot...my sisters friend also got married...and in her pic she wore black and bright red...and her husband wore the same colors...like his kula was red and his sherwani was black...it looked soooooooooooo HOT...

no i wouldn't wear black i have seen few pics of a dress that was red and black, but maybe cuz of design or i don't know why, i really hated teh whole look. it looked depressing. not happy

one more dress that i saw and i loved it, someone send me those wedding pic and i think the dress was really really pretty, since this wedding was in 2003 so if anyone of u think somethin is old or not in anymore the reason would be that feel free to add any comments btw it was a designers dress!

in akhbar-e-jehan's (urdu paki magazine) website, they have that section where they put ppl's wedding pics
btw i think dupatta is blue very light blue

they're beautiful especially the first one but i dont think brides should show their stomach at their weddings cuz they spend a lot of the time sitting down n when u sit down ur stomach doesnt look too good no matter how skinny u are. It'd be good for a reception or something when ur standing up.

well, i don't like any sort of showing of body in a wedding. i even hate sleeve less wedding dress
a bride should look elegant with properly covered dress
