I know few Germans who learned Urdu. Also some Russians and Latvians.

But to be honest, not many Germans know about Urdu, so I very often end up explaining them where it is spoken, :D

I feel insecure really, cuz I am type of out spoken some times, so in these cases I have to be extra careful while telling the 'truth' on the faces of un-Urdu people :-D

One of my somalian friend speaks very good urdu. Also I met a chinese who was urdu professor of Urdu department in a university in China.

my semiotics prof actually especially went netherland to learn Hindi. (Urdu is lot different but still)

I had some nigerian friends that were fluent...they have loads of hindi films down there...its so weird though hearing some huge nigerian guy speaking softly in urdu...
