Re: What do u call chin
mind you Punjabi is not categorized as a proper language
Says who? Can you also define "proper"?
as per the basic rules for a proper language.
Reference? And also provide a reference where it's written that Urdu, English, French, and all other languages are "proper". **
It is a colloquial conversing medium for the people.
**So is any language?
Punjabies in Pakistan use the Arabic letters to write in punjabi
False
whereas indian punjabies use a sanskirat albhabets.
True
There is no unanimity in the LITERAL aspect of the language hence it is considered a non-literal by the definition.
Reference? **
Sure, there are great poets and prose writers in the language
**True
but it does not take the fact away about it being 'not organised.'
Again, define "organized", give an example, and do a comparison with other languages and prove what's considered "organized" and what sets the rules/regulations.
Re: What do u call chin
…and just as an FYI:
Punjabi is an ancient language, but like Marathi, started its literary career pretty late. The script is Gurmukhi based on Devanagri. Punjabi is the state language of Punjab. Punjabi literature as such came into existence only from the end of the 16th century when Punjabi was already in its Middle Period. Gurmukhi script, created from the Nagari script, is claimed by Sikhs as the only proper script for Punjabi.
Also, I already knew the history of how Urdu evolved, but here’s an interesting link for reference.
Re: What do u call chin
why?
Re: What do u call chin
My uncle took Punjabi classes as they were required by the school in Pakistan. I have seen the script in their books, which looks like hindi. ![]()
