What do guys think of makeup?

My husband expects me to use light shades/tones as he thinks I’ll look too cakey if I overload on the blushers and toners. However, I rarely ever get time to use makeup as the problem that lies between me and makeup is my children, my 4 girls are just crazy about makeup! They ruin everything they can grab with their little claws. Therefore, just vaseline and some mascara will do for me ;-]

same can be said abt my husband so slowly i stopped wearing makeup. but i think its good to wear makeup. i have encouraged my daughters to try to wear lgt stuff IN HOME,,,. this lets them enjoy make up and they are not doing it for OTHERS,

Well mine never stops me from anything, he just doesn't get the logic. But i get your point,if he doesn't like it, you prolly will stop doing it after some time.

if your husband doesnt want you to wear make up then you should count yourself lucky cos it means that you dont need it & look good without it, whereas in my case my husband nags me to go put some on which prob means i look horrendous without it

like I said..it's not about him wanting me to look a particular way , it's his general view of make-up

And I am sure you look great with/without make-up, it is prolly his aesthetic sense that likes the make-up look better..nothing wrong with that, you don't need to feel bad about yourself :-)

I am not fond of make-up at all. Why i cannot tolerate it. My beloveds face looked pretty enough without it.

However i have to admit i don't mind Surma (Antimony powder) in eyes thats one form of make-up even i wear.

Natural is best but Surma is good for the eyes, plus it also gives my eyes that heroic look, i have very oriental (slitted) eyes. On a round face with eyes like mine i also have sharply upturned eyebrows so i end up looking like the Mythical Japanese hero's.

Now i don't mind that so long as i don't have to apply paint on my face. Anyway i will marry a girl with naturally rosie cheeks or settle for any girl that loves me enough, make-up isn't too important. Its the skin and heart for me.

Did I get it right? You wear Surma? I have never heard or seen men wearing surma...kid-boys yea but never seen any grown up using it, not that I think there's something wrong with it though.

If you eat healthy and remain clean ...you will look good to a man most of the time. Shabbo thinks a little makeup doesnt hurt either...but heavy eye makeup and totally painted on faces are ridiculous.

The trick is to do makeup but look totally unmade up. Did that make sense ?

If you eat healthy and remain clean ...you will look good to a man most of the time. Shabbo thinks a little makeup doesnt hurt either...but heavy eye makeup and totally painted on faces are ridiculous.

The trick is to do makeup but look totally unmade up. Did that make sense ?

Zobia i am definately your brother. Anyhow whats wrong with a grown man wearing surma. It’s not something i wear everyday only on special days and before fighting in the ring.

I think it enhances the look of my eyes, also any fighter will tell you the eyes are the key ina fight watch the eyes… in my case most opponents are also dressed in all sorts of styles you see freestyle fighting opponents can look like anything, i’ve seen cripples win against strongmen.

Anyway for those that think i’m sort of gay or overly camp go ahead, its easy for people to make such presumtions. Surma isn’t just eyeliner though… it does help clear your eyesight. I have perfect vision and may Allah keep it that way becuase i think me eyes are my best feature.
