my ONE always like to get perfumes, teddy bears (yh mummy daddy guy), candles, hoodies, wind chimes etc as a gift, dnt knw about others

Your gift should conform to the person's likes or dislikes. Let's say the guy likes to be outdoor, you can get him weekend/week/season pass(es) for skiing. If he is likes water activities, see if you can find him a nice kayak/canoe. Just be thoughtful and your gift would be much appreciated.

Ugh, most women have the wrong idea, I'm speaking for myself and every guy that I know:
We hate picture frames, if it were up to us, we wouldn't have any pictures in the house, just posters.
We hate candles, candles are for girls or when the power is out.
We hate pen sets, we are not as sophisticated as you think and the 75 cent bic writes perfectly well.
We hate engraved things from Things Remembered, those are just things that girls THINK we would appreciate.
We hate wallets as gifts because you never pick out the right wallet for us, a wallet is a very personal thing, we have to make sure it's the right size and fit, afterall, it's the one thing that spends the most time right next to our keasters. Besides, most fellas I know, have had the same wallet for the last 13 years.
We hate desk accessories, our desks are a mess, we have a method to our madness, we are not as organized as you think we are.
Don't buy us a watch unless you KNOW that it's the kind we want, a watch, like a wallet is a very personal thing, you have to make damned sure that he's going to wear it.
What we DO like are things like concert tickets, tickets to our favorite teams, gift cards for Best Buy, an Auto Store, or anything gadgety. If it is someone you're intimate with, then a lap dance is definitely appreciated. I do like coffee cups because I lose mine all the time, I leave them places. Find out if he has any hobbies, I love and usually end up getting SCUBA related stuff all the time.
The BEST gift I've EVER gotten from a girl was that she told me to basically get all dressed up and she'd pick me up, she picked me up in a shiny sportscar that she got from a car dealership for a 24 hour 'test drive', she got all tarted up, picked me up, we crashed a wedding reception downtown in a fancy hotel, ate great food and cake, got the band to play happy birthday for me, hugged and kissed the bride and shook hands with the groom and then went to a movie afterwards. How imaginative is that?

it depends on the guy, i remeber my husbands first birthday after we got married, we were both students, with no money, living in a shady apartment accross from our university. He always teases me that his car is his first love, so i had his car cleaned, washed, and waxed, and then i did a savanger hunt for him around our building and each time he would get something small like socks, or movie tickets, passes to go GO karting, or laser tag, and then in the end he was back in our apartment and i had cooked his favourite meal.....i think any gift you give someone can be a good gift or a bad gift depending on the time and effort you've put into it.

Agree with aahmad. Please dont ever give us wallets or watches. Unless you REALLY know that he’d like it. I guess it really depends on the guy as well. If its some Allah mian ki gaye who doesnt care or doesnt even have a watch or a wallet, and u know would like it anyway, then give him whatever… but if he has specific tastes, please dont give him a wallet, he’ll give it to his 5 yr old nephew.
I find gift buying a very difficult task. Vouchers are good. If you’ve seen the guy around, you know his taste… and you know what he likes to wear, so give him some nice tshirts, shirts, cufflinks, ties… DONT get him something you’d like him to wear… like brown shirts! when he hates them 
give him something he’d like to wear.
If hes a gadgets person and u have the dough, give him a nice gadget… if he’s a revhead and loves working on his car/bike… a nice toolkit or some mechanical accessory he can use would be great. If you know his music taste, or reading tastes, a nice book/CD is alright, shopping vouchers/tickets to events etc. are always great. I’d prefer that any day over a pierre cardin watch. If hes into golf, get him a round for two at some nice course.
Basically, KNOW what hes into before u buy. Dont give him rubbish…
If he’s been yapping about planning to go to the gym but never does (like me).. you can always buy em a membership at some nice gym/health club.
I personally HATE gift buying for kids/people I dont know. Its tough.

Once i bought a wallet with my hubby's name engraved and once i bought a leather laptop bag with his name engraved on it.(well he really like it though)

metalic polished objects, such as those stylish pen knives with multiple blades or a set of tools, electronic gadgets, powerful torch (aluminium type casing)......................OR if you wanna push the boat out...maybe the new BMW E60 M5..........on finance..........in YOUR name...........that would go down nicely.
Its easy really, just something that we'll use regulaly.
