Re: What did u wear?
a) Mayoun - yellow cotton shalwar kameez with a multi-colored georgette (sp?) dupatta and gota on the edges (my phoophe made it for me)
b) Mehndi - Kameez was a medium dark mehndi green (it was supposed to be sunflower yellow but oh well) with orange and gold dapka kaam and other beads and sequins on the neckline and sleeves and at the end of the kameez, the shalwar and dupatta was a light mehndi green with the same kaam at the paiycha of the shalwar and the edges of the dupatta
c - Shaadi, you know that picture of the red gharara that Iman Ali ( I think it's her) is wearing on the bargello website, the one that a lot of brides have worn? Yeah, my outfit was supposed to look like that but came to be looking totally different. Sigh. Anyway, it was a nice red jamawar gharara with gold embroidery and the most gold dapka kaam and sequins and beads and who knows what other kaam at the end of the gharara, it was so heavy and I had told the guy not to make it so heavy; the kameez was a red shiffon with the same kaam on the borders (and they ended up making it short too, argh). And there was supposed to be some green on the edges of the dupatta and the kameez and the gharara and like in the circles all around the dupatta and shirt, well I chose a dark hunter green and the person who made it ended up putting that green on VELVET so it looked so Black, oh man was I mad, but it all looked ok in the pictures, I guess. =/
-Valima - loved this outfit, many people liked it too. It was an off-white/cream kameez (I'm not sure what material) with a hunter green border and the kaam in the border was just gorgeous, it was with brick red/pink dapka kaam, with lots of multi-colored sequins and beads and some crystals. The dupatta was the same as the kameez and so heavy! The sharara was hunter green jamawar (same as the border) and had embroidery and kaam all over and the end had a cream border with some flowy/wavy green jamawar material after that.
