I also recently finished reading "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. It's about the author himself. The book talks about the Gregory was senteced in Australia, his escape from prison. And he is on the run constantly and he gets to India. It talks about how he falls in love with India and his life there.
It is not written like a biography but a novel in first person. And people say that not everything he mentioned in the novel is true.
I did not expect to like the novel but it was a really good read.
still hooked by 'Khas o Khashak zamane' by Mustansar Hussain TaraR.. Got two new books yesterday fom Boat Basin. One is 'History of India' by Romila Thapar and the other is a travelogue of Central Asian states written by an English man just after their independence from Russia.
In my absence, too much of the work was pending in office, got out of plaster and joined the office, even went today too:), hopefully after tuesday everything would go alright:)
