Re: What are you reading?
I completed a novel written in perspective of Arab conquest of Sindh. Its a small novel of 120 pages in Sindhi. Interesting read.
Now reading another novel ‘Samarkand’ by the French-Lebanese writer Amin Maalouf based on Omar Khayyam’s life. Currently, I’m reading the chapter where Omar meets infamous Hasan bin Sabah.

The Fear: Robert Mugabe and the Martyrdom of Zimbabwe by Peter Godwin
![]()
In this, Zimbabwean human rights lawyer and foreign news correspondent Peter Godwin examines the events leading up to the Robert Mugabe’s election and his descent into tyranny over the past 40 years. I quite like his writing style because he portrays the struggle of the people of Zimbabwe with subtlety, authority, and respect rather than painting them as helpless victims. He also presents the history aspect in a manner that is engaging and quite interesting, rather than as a dry history lesson.

Recently finished “The Tales of Alhambra” by Washington Irving.
One of those books that made me look forward to my commute so I could read it then. Interspersed with Moorish stories that reminded me of 1001 Arabian Nights. Just pure delight.
Just started “The dirt on clean”.
