Here is an interesting book that I am going to start reading. I think it is about the triumph of Ashari thought over Mautazila thought in Sunni Islam.
I find the subject fascinating. And I think of what the world and Islam would have been, had Mautazila won.

Allama Iqbal used to ponder what went wrong with Islamic world.

I bet if Allama were alive, he would have read this book and other similar books with eagerness. Because it might have given him the answer to his questions.
He probably would have found more material for his ‘jawaab e shikwa’ too!
I might start a thread about its conclusions after going through it.

I like philosophical fiction. Inki aik do aur books parhongi phir kisi aur author k philosophical fiction books parhongi. I was a lil disappointed by The Zahir :(

It is not.
It is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. True that many questions remain unanswered, but some of them do cross a persons mind at some stage in life. Most of the questions raised in Paulo Coelho’s books crossed my mind previously.
