Hi, I just read 'A thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini Great novel, based in Kabul, must be warned have a box of kleenex ready for last few chapters. Very sad
oh I cant wait for his next novel to come out

i'm reading "kulliyaat-e-'allama iqbal" for the 10th time i guess. great poet's great work i worth a million reads :)
just finished reading all of his dark materials trilogy by phillip pullman was so hoping for a diff ending but it was really good.

Read Lunatic In My Head by Anjum Hasan. was good.
and then The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. it was just G-R-E-A-T. one of the best things i read.

Real life case studies of psychopaths, Muneya its much better then "shantaRam" cuz psychopaths are NOT glorified as they are in shantaRAm.

So whose the pyschopath in Shantarama and how are they glorified? You're jsut saying that for the sake of saying something about the book. Shantaram was far from W/O Conscious

There was another book called "The Fall of Russian Empire" - I had bought this book long before the fall of Russia. It outlined the problems with Russia regarding the different sub-nations of people it held together and how it was destined to unfold. Many years later, the southern provinces broke loose and became their own nations.

yeah me too reading The Kite Runner now days. Almost finished actually, just last 10-15 pages remaining.
Very beautifuly written. The first part is good, but i really start liking it when the characters grew up. The story after that is just awesome. I feel as I have been the part of that story , as i know everyone personally :)

muneya.... well they might not fit on exact definition of psychopaths. But if reading 900 pages about criminals is not glorifying them then what is ??
Sickest part is when they sit in coffee houses and take shots at life and philosophy, in there discussions...what do they know?? about life??
