Both the books are now doubt, masterpieces of literature. The first one is however, named, "A thousand splendid suns."

"A history of insects" by Yvonne Roberts--about a 9 year old british girl growing up in Peshawar in the 1950s... amazing story, cant stop raving about it.

just finished "Motherland" by Maria Beaumont---about a London housewife whose career is stalled, marriage is going south and trying to get through her life.

Predictably Irrational, by Dan Ariely… A very interesting book about behavioral economics. Its not for the economists, but for the general public. Discusses some general dieas about psychology, economics and our thought processes.

I just finished The Lost: A Search for Six of Six Million, by Daniel Mendelsohn. A superb book about a Polish/Ukrainian Jewish American guy who tries to find out what happened to his grandfather's brother and family during the Nazi times. It is written so well!
