What are you reading?

Those decimals are actually called ellipsis. They make more sense than that incorrectly placed comma of yours and the omission of a question mark at the end. :zobo:

Man, I miss reading books. It’s been a while…

A long pending overview of the best read so far for me: “The Da Vinci code” by Dan brown.

This book is one of the greatest in so many ways. First, it gives you a very good insight of history. Whether you agree with it or no, is another thing. That being said, it also shows you ‘the other side’ of the story most of us being told. Once again, everyone is free to not to believe anything. And ofcourse there are conspiracy theories as one is entitled to judge. But regardless of all these things, its a treasure of knowledge IMO.
The blend of art and religion and then the narration of the combo is fascinating. Its just that for a person like me its (gulp) very hard vocabulary and thus I end up using dictionary like unlimited times. A blessing i disguise I guess.

The last chapter was the essence. I had to read it 2-3 times to absorb whatever the outcome of entire mystery was.

A must read in my opinion. Strongly recommended. 5-star.

And now I’ve got another book of same author with the title “Inferno”. Its a new book and heard all good things about it as well.

Lets hope I finish it soon and will give my reviews then

History of western philosophy. by Bertrand Russell

This book is just too interesting.

Just started *The Mirror of Beauty *by Shamsur Rahman Faruqi. Tremendous amount of characters but okay, let’s wait and see.

The Secret Keeper

Ditched The Mirror of Beauty and onto my next one:* Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions *by John Donne

@SID_NY I didn’t have reliable connection at home and I refuse to log into any personal accounts at work. Plus, I’m trying to familiarize myself with the gupshup update. I’m happy to be back!

@SID_NY Thanks! How did you reply in post?

For years I would read regularly. But lately I’ve been going through a strange phase where books are not holding my attention. I am mentally distracted. Several books have piled up on my nightstand and dresser, a few of which I had started reading and then quit…

My reading list includes…

The Bell Jar (almost done)
The Oxygen Thief (Started reading it. Liked it. Still a long ways from completion)
The Dinner (Started reading. Found it interesting. The whole book centers around one meal at a restaurant. Need to finish)

Recently got Anna Karenina. I’ve always walked away from this novel for years. But for the first time I decided to give it a go. It’s considered one of the greatest works of literature and so I want exposure to it.

It is my goal to finish one of them within the next two weeks. Mostly likely The Dinner.

The newspaper :bummer:

I came looking for this thread cuz I finally got some time to read!!

I plan to read The Daughter next.

It is about a divorced couple, both of whom are doctors, and their teenage daugther goes missing. In the quest to find her, the mother discovers startling revelations that leave her feeling as though…she never knew her daughter at all.

Just started The secret garden

Just started ‘Healing from trauma’ by Jasmin Lee Cori.
