Agree with everything you said Saby, except of course the prospects of having Butt in the team :D
The player replacements order shuffling has been really mind boggling – especially for a three-match series. We saw Umar Akmal, Malik, and Yousaf being inserted or pulled out with no apparent reason. I see these three as permanent fixtures in the ODI format.
I also agree that Kamran Akmal should be the opener, not just in ODI, but also T20, along with either another measured batsman for the ODI, or another potent player for the T20 format.
Also, in the ODI format, it is in our best interest to always bring in Yousaf and Malik before Afridi and Razzaq to help provide a contolled but commanding platform for more vigorous finishes at the end of the innings.
