I think lack of tolerance & political awareness
Whenever Dictator Take over the country, opponent party dance on the roads & appreciate the move and when they face the same music then other party do the same. First they should learn how to tolerate each other as only continues process of democracy can bring the political awareness in people as you can see recent election results. But if only focus on short cut then be ready to start from zero.
