Re: What Acts Are Recommended After Giving Birth to a Child?
Thats very informative, I never knew that reciting adhaan is neither obligatory nor sunnah, I always thought that it was. But there is something I’d like to know, can a woman -I mean the mother- recite adhan in her newborn’s ear? I’m saying this because the call for prayer is also read by a man so maybe in the case of a child, the same method is applied and since its always the fathers or an elderly man who performs this ritual. So is there any ruling or historical evidence of women reciting adhaan in the newborn’s ear because we know there are various instances where Prophet Muhammad pbuh and his companions performed this act.
