Iconoclast -- I agree with your initial response to your daughter. I've seen similar issues with my little cousins and Piglet from Winnie the Pooh.

Re: What about Pigs
Ali_R:I had given my views on what I think - if you have an logical reply, lets hear it, otherwise I'll accept that you are like A parrot who can repeat things, but cannot 'think'.
Show me the proof that God spoke to Mohammed, and that the quran is Gods written words. Proof, not 'totagiri"
For a belief you dont need proves...Either you believe in It or you dont. Isnt It simple mr.? I believe therefore I am :)
Re: What about Pigs
Ali_R: Atlest you admit that there is no proof of God saying things to Mohammed / Jesus / Gabriel/ Moses or any other saints/ angels / prophets - and this is all based on belief..
I think Islam has got mixed up in a lot of beliefs which have no basis in the original sayings of the prophet Mohammed. There seems to be confusion on Pigs, masterbation, music, dancing, singing, nail polish, lipstick, cosmetics, etc etc etc.

There is no proof that Moses received any relevation fron God, or Ram or Buddha, or soem monkey man abducting hindu godesses. Its matter of faith.
The thread was about Islamic perpective on pigs, hindu input is not required.
Re: What about Pigs
Well you see, Seminole. There are even people who claim the Quran being some invented stories by Prophet (s.a.w) himself. Therefore you cannot (If you dont want to believe In It) confirm them to be Gods word either. Even If YOU do believe in Quran being words of God. Narrated by Angels or not is not even the question then.
No, the question is for those who believe the Quran to be words of God but are also treating hadith as if scripture. God said Quran is complete, perfect and protected. He didn't say anything about hadith which were made by man. Quran was revealed by God. Hadith were not. Trying to figure out if someone heard someone say that pigs are evil and that it go communicated and recorded correctly 200 years later proves the futility of looking for divine law from man made scripture.
So the point is you can't say Christians are following man made religion when Muslims are doing the same thing. At least the Christians believe they are following words of God whereas Muslims willingly and enthusiastically follow words of man.
So this brief semi-sentence "Angel Gabriel was not only busy with Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w) delivering him words of God" is your explanation on how Muhammad would even know if pigs were evil. So all the words from God were not recorded as part of the Quran? Is the book incomplete?

Seminole, I thought you had read the Quran?
Then you must also know about Sunnah (the way of our Prophet (saw)).
Or is this not relevant as a matter of fact?

You are distorting my views on Christianity. I have stated that Christian Church is following man made religion, whereas there are many sects in Christianity as well. Some facts distorted over the years by the Church. The way you have distorted my opinion on Christianity in this very thread. Christians believe they are following words of God, whereas God is imperfect and has a son. This matters.
Muslims believe only in Gods words authenticy is given the Quran and follow the Sunnah.
YOu can debate on this another 100 pages (told you before), you will not succeed on me agreeing with you that Islam is based on some men words.

Does Bible become incomplement (no matter how much of changes there have been made) If you dont find an answer on a question over life on a specific situation?

When did sunnah become part of Quran? I haven't read that version.

So Christians believe they are following words of God, but aren't. Just like Muslims believe they follow words of God but don't. Hadith are not words of God. Do Muslims not follow the (supposed) words of Muhammad? Was Muhammad not but a man?

Oh, yea, hadith are great at answering questions for specific situations. That's why we have 6 pages on plucking the eyebrows and 3 pages on if pigs are evil. God gives us the foundation (scripture) and brains. There is no magic book of answers to all questions.

Sunnah is a necessity to understand the Quran. But there are other opinions too, who might oppose my very idea.

Our Prophet (s.a.w) was human yes. But this discussion is leading no where..you dont believe in anything that we do and I will not accept that Christian Church is what once Jesus (r.a) praid to this world. Period.

Those 6 pages and those 3 on evil pigs being evil or not are discussion made up by us only. No one is actually arguing on the validy of any hadith in these threads.
As said before you are dragging this discussion into nirvana....
