I look at Basantt as a time when friends and families get together to have some fun.
I dunno nothin' about it belonging to the "Hindu" Culture...Indian culture : maybe!, but who cares.
As long as everyone is careful during the activity, and we don't lavishly spend at the occassion...

I agree with PG that Patang Baazi is not a HINDU CULTURE and we should celebrate it as a game and festival until and unless it is not against Islamic Sharia.

A waste of money and time and health and lives
I was in lahore on last eid and basant was close to eid. In lahore, there were 3000 power break down in just 3 days of eid due to this basant…Many people have said that its fun, but if fun is unislamic then we should leave it. there are many other funs such as jua, sharb noshi etc. why dont you have that fun?
