Well he was due some runs after a rare twin failure in the 1st test. Laxman also reached 8,000 test runs in the process (122nd test, ave: 47.05, hundreds 16) :k: btw Laxman’s idol is Azharuddin

Sonu is bowling well... hopefully he can continue this form to the England series.. with Zak and PK swinging bothways, Sonu getting bounce and movement off the pitch, and Munaf and Sreesanth as a back up.. the English batters won't find it easy at all..

India gains an insurmountable 11 run 1st inning lead - on the backs of the most fearsome pace trio since the days of Roberts, Holding and Marshall.
At the end of the rain shortened 3rd day, India's formidable openers had put uo 23 without loss (12 extras)

End of 4th day - India 229 for 3. Mukund (48), Dravid (55), Laxman (72*) and Kohli (29*) do well. Probably headed for a draw, unless India declares at start of 5th day (and Varuna decides to stay away). Kohli, instead of blowing kisses, hits 6 off a bouncer this time.

At lunch on 5th day - West Indies 51 for 2. Need 230 runs to win. Could get interesting. (Barath lbw appeal close one denied - replay showed leg bail being clipped)
