Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Pakistan all out on 393 with a lead of 81 runs… :k:
Some 19 overs still to go for the day…chance for Pakistan to grab a couple of wickets…

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Stumps - Day 3
WI 2nd Inn: 40/1…trail by 41 runs
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
To add to that, Misbah now holds the record for most scores of 99 in Test cricket. Also becomes 1st batsman to score consecutive 99s.
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Badluck misbah. HE added another unusal record as many other un usual things…
Hope pak can win it. Though a lead of 150 by WI will be tough for our batters
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Windies 186/4, effectively 105/4
Advantage Pakistan but game is delicately poised at the moment.
250 plus is a tricky target to chase for most teams in the 4th innings. Even 200 should test our unpredictable batting. Remember Pak lost 3 wickets chasing 30 odd in the last test.
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Windies 197/4 at tea on the 4th day
Effectively 116/4
This is good fight back by their batsmen. And remember this is Windies B team. Some of their top players are currently playing in IPL.
Dwayne Smith, Dwayne & Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine and Samuel Badree are in IPL. Also Carlos Brathwaite, Keiron Pollard and Lendl Simmons but not sure if they play tests for WI. Discarded Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy are also featuring in this year’s IPL.
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
This test is heading towards a draw which is a bummer. Flat track finally pays off for WI.
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
All three results still possible
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Try Azhar Ali or Younis Khan for the breakthrough… ![]()
The WI lead is now 151 runs with 6 wickets still intact…
WI for sure playing for a draw… ![]()
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Finally the breakthrough…though a late wicket for Pakistan…the lead is now 154 runs with 5 wickets remaining
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
6 down…
1 or 2 more wickets before the Stumps would do good to Pakistan…

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
How many times have we seen this happen in cricket? A wicket after a good partnership followed by 1 or 2 quick wickets
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
7 down…some 13 overs for the day still to go… ![]()
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Younis Khan 1st player to take 50 catches after the age of 35 :k: (50 of his 138 catches overall). i.e. still has good reflexes; proof that age should not be the sole criterion in any sport
Mark Waugh took 48 catches after the age of 35
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
Younis Khan also the leading catcher for Pakistan in test cricket

Stumps - Day 4
WI 2nd inn: 264/9…lead by 183 runs…
A golden & historical chance for Pakistan to clinch the series tomorrow…

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
The equation suits Pakistani batsmen’s current mindset / style of play
Almost 90 overs (assuming they get the last man early tomorrow), 180 odd to get, i.e. 2 odd runs per over. Tuk Tuk will do! ![]()
Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Bridgetown
I actually wanted Windies to bat a bit better and set Pak a somewhat challenging total of 250+/- in the 4th innings.
At 230 odd for 4 that looked a real possibility but as so often happens with them these days, they just could not seize the opportunity and predictably went from a position of strength to a position of despair in one mad hour despite dominating day 4.
