West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

The new blood is playing, but we want presist with old and useless blood, hence corrupting the new blood as well…

Awful display of batting by Pakistan..whoever thinks that kamran, hafeez and Ahmed can perform is an idiot…it is as simple as that

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

Good hitting by Babar and Imad in the last two overs despite a couple of missed full tosses

should have used the long handle at 45 over mark

280+/- is on

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

Great finish despite the dot ball curse early on

282/5

84 runs coming off the last 7 overs @ 12 an over

well-played both Babar and Imad

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

Young blood, again paid off…oldies are as pathetic as they were from last ten fifteen year

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

The problem i’m seeing here is that Pakistani top batting order consists of three unconventional batters : Kamran Akmal, Hafeez and Malik. And since shehzad cannot be trusted as a proper batsman, that leaves us with Babar Azam who is having a huge responsibility.
Luckily today he did great and made his career best score. But this can be a very serious issue. Pakistan needs atleast one more proper batsman. You cannot rely completely on flukes.

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

Dot ball specialists Shehzad and Hafeez just eat up too many deliveries in every game

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

He definitely needs a set batsman on the other end so the pressure is off on him and he scores in his natural style. Otherwise we may not be able to avail his talent.

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

See they proved me correct again. Once wi batters fired they will relax for next 10 matches

Re: West Indies v Pakistan, 2nd ODI,

Windies batting is just so erratic and inconsistent

Pakistan did not bat well themselves as a team. The last partnership (final 7 overs to be precise) gave the total some respectability. Without Babar’s steadying hand they might have not even posted 240 and then it becomes a different ball game altogether

One of the two Shehzad and Hafeez needs to go and be replaced by Fakhar.

:jhanda: Thanks to some better management today…
