I agree to a certain extent. Asif is decent rather than great, a bit like Vaas. I don't think he will ever be as good as McGrath. He lacks serious pace for starters and I have never rated him as highly as Imran or the two W's. At his peak Imran Khan I believe was even better than Wasim and Waqar but that is just my opinion

i was disappointed by his recent performances otherwise i was a fan too.

its always been more interesting for me to imagine that he named himself after the bowler, and he kindly indulges it. at different points i have asked him or been tempted to ask why golden, does he have a brother posting on gs named silver asif etc etc.
