google has a ton of listings. you’re going to have to make a few phone calls and speak to people about their services and prices, and ask for references before settling on one.

the best way is to make a wishlist of things you must have, and decide on a budget. and factor in the cost of a wedding planner into that too- some will take a percentage of the overall budget, some will charge a flat fee based on their packages/services. that way you’ll have some idea of how to judge them, i.e. what things off your wishlist will they be able to give you within your budget. and of course always negotiate their fee. and then also make sure their personality gels with yours- if they’re not listening to what you’re saying, don’t bother hiring them.
