abt the mehndi outfit:) my mom and cousin got inspired by all sorts of kaams there. Basically they designed it. I told them I wanted a gharara in this color family and I wanted a long shirt. Mom really wanted a gota border. Actually, I had originally thought of deeper colors within this color family.
My mayoon anarkali and trousers mom designed as well:)
I couldnt go to Pakistan last minute, so It was such a heartache.
My shaadi jora was chosen by cousins and mami's (started the search a year before the wedding because I wanted a designer gharara)............
valima jora mother in law chose.....
so at the end--I didnt get to choose any of my shaadi clothes--but its ok now.....kinda sorta lol

Theres three decorators here in Miami? Anand, Hassan and the other is somethign like chanda or channa? right?

^^^ there's a lady who I found abt--but shez SUPER obnoxious---Mehr. As for Hassan--he's ur best friend until after the wedding....lol
ahhhhhhh we got the on line pixx--but havent heard anything abt the video.......
His equipment has changed from before--Its more high tech--he'll give u the dholak and everything....hmmm the biggest fault we saw was that when something is messed up on u (like hair messy or clothes in the wrong place)--he doesnt tell u...our photoshoot was at 2 am and somehow my dupatta came over the sleeves (and I had short sleeves which I wanted to show)--he (or his assistant) did not say........my husbands hair was showing and qulla was all a mess---again----its all in the pixx and there is a certain "messiness" abt the professional pixxx........
he kinda forces ppl to get these ugly expensive garlands--if u go with him--dont fall into that trap.......
as for Anand---we are family friends---but I DID NOT want my photos to be from them......because of the quality (at my cousins wedding we got them done from there and the result was not so fab)
Sumaiya on the other hand is a total sweetheart and u'll like working with her.......i personally am not into very dark eyes (thought my eyes were a lil too dark on the wedding). best thing is leaving the make up up to her--so she does it according to her face-----yes certianly tel her u like this or that...butdont change her work completely
Ive seen some brides who wanted make up their way (kept on insisting that eyeshadow should be as red as their dress etc etc ) and the result was horrid
u will look spectacular Miami cuz 1. Bunto is making ur jora:):):):)
show her the jora pix b4hand-if u can---that way she'll know wht to do...ooooo gosh im late for class....lol

yes ive already booked sumaiya but for my old wedding date. its now moved to the end of the year so i need to inform her about the change. As for the decorator. Friends told us that if we use the same person for the pictures and the decoration tehy give u a better package. Everyone tells me to go with Anand. Although hassan is such a nice man.Every time he sees me hes always asking about my wedding date and how the pics will come out fab. But personally i dont like his work too much. Sumaiya also reccomends hassan but thats cause they have some sort of contract.
Lets see what happens. Its just so much planning to do. :(

ooooooooooooo book sumaiya ASAP!! i heard she isnt taking brides for a while because she's already booked.
As for choosing between Anand and Hasan--its like choosing between the lesser of the two evils. Ive seen both of their works---Anand for my cousins shaadi and Hasan for my brother in laws shaadi. Anand does not capture detail---he rarely comes there himself so If u are going to him--make sure he covers the event himself. His movie tends to be very short and he takes a few pictures. So make sure you know how many pictures you will get.....as for Hasan--he just takes FOREVER.
My mayoon video is wonderful and I had friends (who is a film major make it). Honestly I wish I had gotten all the days covered by him.
There's a new guy named Sameer--originally i was thinking of him but in laws wanted Salsan. We saw his video and liked it a lot. He's new so no one really knows about him. Very pleasant to talk to and seems very eager and extremely professional. Brought his work to my own; showed us the video and the pictures:):)
