I live in London, UK - i am getting married to my mamoo's son who lives in Okara but has been living in the uk for some years now.

The Bharat will be in Faislabad and the walima will be in okara

Those of u who went to a wedding in serena , how was it? was the food better than dynasty? my sister had hers and dynasty and the food was amazing and we'd heard that sernas is not so nice.

I really want mine to be somewhere different but just worried about the food at serena hotel. Also would u have any pics of the wedding in serena?

Hi SOni27..mine is a bit of a long story..
Im born and raised in south west England in Bristol..
I got engaged to my mamoo's son on 3rd march this yr..soooooo typical him being my mamoo's son!
But it was never meant to turn out like that!...I went to Pak in 2005 for my sisters wedding and everyone ws hinting to me about getn married..iu mus nw wt annoyin aunties are like bout getn married etc but I ws defo nt ready then and didnt wna get married back hme nyway..but i wsnt as obvious about it as didnt wna hurt anyones feelings so they all assumed id be getn married back hme..
anyway when i gt back to England i started uni..and thought id met my future husband i was with him a year and a half and our relationship ws perfect..well so i thought it ws until I found out about the 3 other girls..it ws madness so im glad my parents said id never be able to marry him cause if they accepted him I would have made the biggest mistake..He ws indian muslim and I was pakistani so the family said no..
After that I fell for a few other guys majiority of who were players..no one ws worth losing my family for..But i still didnt wna gt married back home as was enjoyin myself far too much partyin and jus enjoyin bein young..
Earlier this yr my mum pracitcally bribed me to go back hme so I did..for my cousinss wedding but I ended up getting to knw my fiancee really well and spoke to him on a level..we get along so well alhumdulillah and hes accepted me knowing eveything about my past...I defo made the right choice..6 months ago I would never have dreamed of getting married now im picking my dress!
So thats it!
Im sure u girls have more interesting stories than mine so plz share ur love/wedding stories!!
Having said all of the above im not saying guys frm UK have bad intentions its jus alot harder to meet the right person and trust them

I had summer school so I was unable to attend the wedding and it took place in August 2006. :cheegum:

r3aziz: From what I heard from the relatives, it was a great venu and the food was pretty good too. No one got sick or had any complains. Rest you can always give them instructions on how exactly you want your stuff.

nice 2 see that there is other gals from faislabad here on gupshup..
I actually got married in faislabad and done my make up at Sola Singhar in People's colony I was very satisfied with the make up, photo shoot everything was great.
We had the wedding in a park,.. lovely decorations, everything was perfect and in european style.
I thought 2 order a limo before wedding but faislabad ki sarak itni choti hai so woh plan cancel hogaya hehe,.. but mein phir hondia civic mein apne sasural gayi :).
