Re: Wedding Ideas or Fun Rituals

  • playing with ubton on Mayun day, applying on eachothers faces

  • when the girl leave her chair on mayun/mehndi..pushing a girl on the chair so that she get marry soon

  • Bhangra for boys … Luddi for girls n aunties on mehndi (in groups)

  • dance of couples (like bhai bhabbi- dewar dewarani- sister bhehnoi - even father in law & MIL- parents etc)

  • singing Tappay songs (wedding songs), make compeition between larkay walay n larki walay.. (put names of BIL, SIL & MIL in songs just for teasing them)

  • giving flower gajras to Larkay walay (guest ladies) when entering hall on mehndi day

  • bride spanking (spell*) to other unmarried girls right after signing nikkah namaso that they also get marry soon

  • make a row of girls on both sides holding flower petals plates, throwing it on larkay walay enter the hall (both mehni & barat), also when bride enters.. (a welcome)

  • the brothers of bride bring her to the stage instead of friends

  • hold a long dopatta in hand (girls side) & stop the barat to enter the hall ,ask for money if they want to enter..

  • dont let the groom sit beside bride on stage… bride’s sisters n friends sit on his place

  • on wedding night, Groom’s sister block the door of his room & doesnot enter the room until he pay them money (when bride is waiting inside the room)

  • on wedding night, instead of sending bride inside the room, let someone else taking red dopatta ghunghat sit on her bed, & all the cousins etc hide themselves behind curtains, behind the door, under the bed etc & hide the bride in some other room, when groom enters, comes near the bride..try to hold her hand & THEN…GET SHOCKED..lol … & then everyone just shout n jump & run out LOL…actually we did it twice on 2 of our cousins wedding…its was soooo much fun lol

  • groom giving mun dekhai gift to the bride on 1st night

  • also mother in law put oil on the side of door when the bride step in on rukhsati

  • let sit some small baby in bride’s lap on Walima day (goud bharaai) , then bride give money to the baby (this one means that bride also have a baby soon, its mostly sis in law’s kids LOL)( if not on Groom’s side then Bride’s family can do it on Muklawa with some sis or bro’s baby)

  • Muklawa.. bride comeback to parents house after walima function, then later groom’s family come to take her, have dinner together & take the bride back

I think its enough LOL.. can’t remember anymore :konfused:
