$1,500 is too MUCH. My dad's sister gave me $500 on my wedding and I think that's about the right amount, depending on how close your hubby is with your niece and her family. So especially since the wedding is in Pakistan, $500 would equal to about $30,000 and that's a pretty decent amount, in my opinion.
