Re: Wedding Anklets

*Well I have 2 pairs of Silver heavy anklets and im thinking to get them oxidized for ma wedding.
*

i couldn’t resist… these were mine!

the top ones are pure silver from india (they are my bff’s and were my “something borrowed”, the bottom ones are pure gold and are my mom’s).

ignore the really ugly sandals. i broke the toe on my other foot a week before the wedding and i bought these in a panic, two days before, because my toe was so swollen it wouldn’t cram into any other kind of shoe, including my gorgeous wedding shoes

Re: Wedding Anklets

sgc! i love the thick silver ones :)

Re: Wedding Anklets

Re: Wedding Anklets

I wore a very slim (minus any bells) pure gold ones on my wedding, and they really were beautiful, in fact of all the gold i wore that was my favourite piece.

However never wore them after that, had a few remarks about "gold on feet haram" I know i know, i was like shut the **** up your only jealous!

Anyway i handed them over to my sister for my niece to wear after that.

this is the anklet i wore on my wedding. wasnt gold like my outfit but it was so beautiful and heavy i had to wear it.

Bridal preferences in selecting the anklets and toe rings depend on the 4 Big C’s. Culture, Custom, Clothes and Country of origin. Here are some typical styles for bridal wear:

• A slim bracelet in gold, delicately engraved with a matching toe ring that is both sophisticated and elegant, is a choice for more fashionable wear.

• Two or three layers of silver (real, sterling or tarnished) with elaborate workmanship and tiny ghungurus spaced one inch apart, for the traditional bride where some cultural restrictions only allow silver for foot ornaments; a plain silver band or a large toe ring worn on the left foot toe symbolizes a married woman.

• Kundan for a broader anklet and gold or silver blended toe rings for the ethnicity.

• A plain anklet (silver or gold) studded with precious stones and a toe ring embedded with complimenting gems look very chic.

• In the Middle East, the tradition to wear ankle bracelets joined by a thin chain that connects the toe ring is an extremely attractive style worn by brides.
