My Muslim friend is happy to live in India and he does not share the same view of yours about India and Hindus :) .He lives happily and peacefully in india and he knows the realities or does not want to take in the `state sponsored milk products of his western neighbour'. :) . That state simply can not protect the interests,guarntee the safety and security of it's own majority of people,let alone the minorities.My friend knows this aswell :)
LOL... How do you know what your friend actually believes? Perhaps he simply wants to be polite and refuses to bring up topics of religion.
Many Pakistanis are very similar to your friend and dont harbor any resentment or negative feelings towards Hindus. So this tolerance you speak of is not limited to Indian Muslims.
Ofcourse, I also know many INDIAN MUSLIMS who actually are extremely bigoted in their views of others, expecially Hindus.
Your broad generalization of Indians Muslims is rather pathetic, considering your basing it on one friend.
I can tell you one thing, at the end of the day, the Muslims of India are really not so different in their attitudes towards Hindus and others. The are different only in context.
