NBA - the post season is too dragged out. Stars get the calls, television ratings probably dictate referee decisions etc. But I digress...

I prefer the one game knockout rounds. Yes, luck is involved. But the pressure, the drama is probably unbelievable.

I agree with Final being best of 3 and not all QF and SF. To many "best of threes" will bring down the intensity during these QF and SF stages.

^^ bhai but that still would mean that 6 CRUCIAL games of the WC will come down to just that one day...

If they make them all BO3 plus reduce days by altering the format a bit or reducing warm up games etc etc.. and overall its only another 10 days.. is that not acceptable either? only 10 more days? once in every 4 years?

^ There should be no QFs IMO

Either my suggested format above - i.e. round robin competition between top 8 teams with top 4 going to the semis >> Final (BO3) or

have an even shorter format: instead of 14 teams, there should be 20 teams divided into 4 groups ie. 4 games each in group stages thereby eliminating luck factor to an extent. 4 games is enough to show your form and consistency >> all group leaders progress to the semis

^^ im okay with having no QFs.. just do SFs.. but atleast now give me bo3 SFs? :P

the overall format can be changed too... they change it every time obviously we havent figured out the best way to do it haha

How about round-robin in semi-final stages :khums:
