WC 2011 - Memorable COMMENTARY Quotes!

Re: WC 2011 - Memorable COMMENTARY Quotes!

Sidhu was at his extreme best yesterday. He went out of his way and totally dissed Tony Greg yesterday after the the Pakistan Zimbabwe game. Tony and Ramiz were on the field and they were being asked questions from the studio.
At one point in time, Tony said "Well maybe that is what you should do Sidhu, you should just keep quiet for a while now"
to which Sidhu totally lost it and said" Well let me tell you Tony, Let me tell you..that you...you are not even worth a STRAW"
and Then the camera went to Tony and Ramiz and Tony asked Ramiz:"What...was that??!!"
Ramiz shook his head and said "(Laughing) I don't know..."

Sidhu has completely lost it and today he was not on the panel. There are some news articles that he may be removed.

Funny thread.

Siddhu is your "Straw Man". (Couldn't resist a bad pun)

Re: WC 2011 - Memorable COMMENTARY Quotes!

Sorry, this is not from this (or any) world cup. However, one of the most candid (and funniest) exchange on the radio I heard was way back when, during a Ranji trophy match being played.

Lala Amarnath was the expert commentator, Anand Settlewad (I think) was the running commentator. The batsman got out. Anand asked Lala "So Lala, what do you think of the dismissal?".

Without a pause, Lala responded "I was not watching. Back to you."

Another game, batsman was dismissed by a great catch.

Raju Bharatan: What do you think of that dismissal, Lala?"
Lala: catchis win matchis. Back to you. (You had to be there)

During another game, the batsman was bowled. Lala's comments:
It was a good delivery. Batsman was bowled. Back to you.

End of Lala recollections. Sorry for digression.
