KK bro! That's a bad idea to let NATO "manage" your house. This is not good in the eyes of those who would like to maintain territorial integrity of our country.
If you want to see FATA area as part of Pakistan, then Pak government has to impose its writ.
If you want to see FATA to be independent, then off course you can let NATO bomb/negotiate etc. with NATO.
It's going to happen anyway, just the matter of time. And unlike Afghanistan or Iraq, America's objectives will be to just bomb the area from the air.
