tikhi, Jal is persian for water.
and Jal is urdu for burn.
and jal pari is mermaid.
Re: wat the hell does
Passo persian ![]()
Anyways let me explain.
Jal : burnt. (This jal is drived from Hindi) But we often dont just use jal, its usually used as jal jana… jala dena etc.
Jul : Cheating. But notice the complication of the word, it is the cheating but in a way that u will feel/think the person is honest but infact he will be cheating with u. Jul is also used for water in a sense that, lets say sea is beautiful but if u go lil deeper a sudden wave will drown u, it deceives with its beauty.
Jal : Glorious, great, eminent etc (this jal is drived from Arabic) We often use this jal with the name of God, Allah jal e jala lahu etc. It shows the greatness. The Jal pari uses this jal.

Re: wat the hell does
jezz… u guys really need to learn urdu… and jonyBr i am surprised even u don’t know about jal Pari!!
Jal means water and by sayin “Allah Jal-e-Jalal” we r praising Allah for his Anger (jalal) and his patience (as jal) … which means Allah is calm as waters and can be angry like fire (jalal also means fire)…
as i said before going to ur nannny or any older who used to tell you stories in ur childhood might help alot. ![]()
In Hindu mythology jalpari is a spirit which attracts men in waters and then kills them. but hey who am i telling all this stuff

Kamran I m surprised at ur Urdu ![]()
Since when Jalal means Angry? Jalal means dignity, glory.
We dont use word “anger” (gussa) with God bcos Anger is a state when u r not thinking, something that God doesnt like for humans, so how can He be angry Himself? hence we use the word Jalal for the state when Justice is important and perhaps a time when He wont be much merciful. It is still not the state of Anger.
Jal e jalal lahu etc means Dignity, or a Glory of a highest quality/level. “Eminent is God’s glory” as most urdu dictionaries would put it.
