We dont have kids yet but i know that we will not be celebrating christmas at all. Hopefully we will be able to make a big deal out of Eid and celebrate that in style with lights, banners, presents etc (Thanks Riya for such great ideas!). I dont think the kids need to be confused with christmas trees at home when we tell them we dont celebrate it. That just doesnt make sense to me. And hopefully i can have some good ways to tell them how we are different and why we dont celebrate non-muslim holidays. I think its totally acceptable to do that, afterall being from a different religion is not a bad thing but having confused kids can be.
