In Delhi - they took a survey of College going girls & boys --80% prefered an arranged marriage.

Not married yet, just engaged. Ours was a love arrangement :blush: We told our parents about each other when we were ready. From there, the families have been making all the necessary arrangements.

I first had an arranged marriage
and that didn't work out. . . (a very good thing, he wasn't a good guy)
and now i have a love marriage
and this one will last forever Insha-Allah.

PCG, congratulations on your engagement.

Our marriage was arranged in the fact that his aunt knew me and had his family came to my house to meet me. We liked eachother right away and fell in love as we were engaged.

Ours was love, but Allah helped us arrange it beautifully through our parents.

Both sets of parents (his and mine) had (one common family friend) who absolutely loved both our families :) We found out about this through random conversation ! It worked out perfect. I believe Allah was definitely helping me pick my soul mate. It was meant to be. There was a bigger plan up in the heavens to join our families together. Forever.
