You still have undomesticated chickens living in jungles in Asia. Wild chickens, like all birds, live in trees. They go down to the jungle floor to eat seeds, insects, lizards, etc. If a lion comes they just fly away.

Why worry about what chickens were before they went under human captivity? Just be glad that chickens are tame now........so there's less work in getting the bird on your table!

Chickens were fierce animals that even lions were scared of. Then one fine day they decided to give up on the nastiness and act all cute so we would love them.

We ate them.
