He crumbles way to often for a great player...thats why he will never be as good a player as Ponting or Lara or even Inzamam during his prime.
Trouble is though...the selectors cant drop him, becoz with Inzy gone and Younis busy serving his county bosses, they need someone with experience in the middle order..although that experience hasnt really done anything again - when it mattered.
Btw..8 out of 10 times when the openers failed - Inzy,Younis and Yousef failed with them...its not a matter of short memories but rather of accurate memories.
Yousef even admitted the same himself...during an interview on Business Plus a few weeks ago, he himself admitted that the preassure gets too high on him when the openers failed, and pointed to Hafeez's opening average of 18.05 as a case in point...saying he and the middle order couldnt compensate as often as they should.

Relax guys we always do that, whenever we win a series we lose the remaining match badly. We don't have the killers instinct, that is what differentiates us and teams like Aus and SA.

Its always the case when the top order fails. Pakistan's so-called batting 'mainstay' Mohd Yousef rarely performs under preassure and even less rarely gets runs when the top order gets out cheaply. Take this as a experimentation game - but the fact remains that numbers 1,2 and 3 are always crucial for Pakistan because you can never rely on. Yousef to take preassure and peform like a Ponting or a Lara would.
What you are describing is termed as "False Memory Syndrome", or also called Short Memory Syndrome.

I'm okay with losing this one. But not losing cheaply.
You don't have to make 5 changes...just because you won the series and the first 2 matches...its painful...but the management remains idiot or something like that... :D

On a side note...we are talking of ODI cricket ehsan..not test stats. Doesent matter if he scored the highest runs in test cricket in a year, whats he done in ODI cricket for the past 12 months...thats what's being discussed. I'll try and pull up his ODI stats for the last 12 months from somewhere..

I am sure management put all these ppl into the final 11. Not the captain alone. So what can you say when players face the uphill task for almost 300 to get when your top 2 are already gone at 60 odd runs…
So what if MoYo could not click in the series. The whole team (playing 11) never got a chance to gel in with each other. Hence the poor calling and running resulting in runouts. Hence the pressure on the middle order piling up today. Hence the debutant getting out cheaply.
So give it up. Its not MoYo or anybody’s fault. Its just poor team selection and also a little bit of slow down mode due to having won the series.
Yes our team has a history of collapsing, but this a new team with a new captain. Let them gel with each other and play a few “real” meaningful series then we might be able to discuss who is failing and whether our team is still not mentally focussed or not!!!

^ its ok the series is already won. The face save would be to get as close as possible to the total as they can. Malik has fast become our new sheet anchor in crisis situations.

Jeez, look at all these people complaining and whining. Relax guys, it's just one game. Yousuf couldn't click in a 3 match series, so what. There was some bad running that can be largely attributed to new batting combinations and order, but we won two games comprehensively, and lost the one where we put in some players for the first time. Why the demands to throw people out already. Get a life.
