That is my main concern, security. I have to say I wasn’t born in Pakistan neither were my children ( who were born in different countries) and my parents have spent 55 years out of Pakistan, and have moved around. So am not sure what my roots are or my childrens roots. the only consistent part of our identities is that we are pakistani muslims.
in my nuclear family we were born in 4 different countries and have lived in 9, so far : )

If you look at the security situation objectively then the law and order situation is not that different from here. If you pick up a local paper here you will see loads of crimes being committed. Even if less crime is taking place there because of the dysfunctional state people feel more insecure.

WOT is confined to mainly to the areas near Afghanistan and does not affect the major cities in Punjab. If you go to central Islamabad you will see many Chinese tourists there, and they feel perfectly safe there. Obviously whereever you live you have to take precautions.

Now Islamabad has become safe from blasts but I was staying there once when they were taking place, and I would not be even aware of them until I watched TV. TV particularly Pakistani TV creates hype and repeats the same story day in and day out. It is like they are getting paid to undertake a pyschological warfare in Pakistan.
