You can buy glycerine in bottles, from Boots. Costs less than two pounds.

Ok where can i get this same vit C in US? Ive read that vit.c is more effective if its used with vitamin e so any thoughts on that. Can vit e serum be mixed with this vit.c powder?
And did any of u try this with moisturizer? Ive tried the philosphy and its awesome.
Today is my 5th day tht I've been using it. 3/5 days I've applied it twice a day. after toning and moisturizing I apply the serum to my face and leave it on all night/day. because of the added Glycerin I wouldn't recommend u wearing it in the daytime unless ur gonna be staying indoors as the glycerin leaves ur face sticky and sweaty looking (not a nice look).
My skin feels more smoother and has a fresh look to it (peachy like). the redness has reduced and I had this one mark quite noticeable tht I got from a spot a few weeks ago. It appears to be lighter.
definitely try it out if u have any skin discolouration.
has anyone else ever tried this method?

Sounds interesting. Any precautions while looking to buy vitamin c powder. Any special ingredients to look out for (that ensure it's effective)....or to watch out for that may be harmful?
Just buy pure Vitamin C powder. I got mine from whole foods.
How often should it be applied. What about applying citrus (lemon, for example, which contains vit c) to your face? Would that be less effective than the powder?
Lemons contain ascorbic acid as well but in much smaller percentage. The solution I create has 10% ascorbic acid and is far more effective. Lemons/oranges will work, but probably over a long period of repeated usage.

ok so I tried the Vitamin C in my moisturizer and as predicted it didn't dissolve into the moisturizer and left my skin all grainy looking. once it dried the powder started flaking off.
mayb it depends on the powder u use?

I bought the kit yesterday and viola today my skin looks wonderful, but one bad thing, it clogs the pores, as they look bigger today ... now I have to buy the other kit with french clay one for closing the pores as mentioned at the first post's link.
And another thing the Vit C doesnt dissolve in water, so next time I am taking hot water instead.

I bought the dr sebagh vitamin c powder .. it comes in about 5 test tubes, the lady said it would last 6 months. I havent tried it yet. Has anybody else used this brand?
Ok i tried this... i tried to dissolve this into some hot water and added to my moisteriser but it tingled like crazy.... now i have small burn marks on my skin. i don't have sensitive skin but maybe i put too much vit c in. next time less vit c more moisteriser.
But it did make my skin feel smooth.

^ dear u have to follow the recipe measurments... and they said to try it out with lesser vit c and then gradually increase or try it on your arms first if u think it might give u problems

Ok sooo where do u purchase the vitamin c powder frm uk?? I have skin disclouration on my upper lip due to waxin and threading all these years im actually havin laser treatment done now hoping it will lighten the area and get rid of my upperlip hair i also bought sum skin lighting cream hav been useing it for awhile now nothing has changed i dont c any difference pls advise me im really REALLY desperate to lighten the area does it really work????
Well I have gone out today and bought a tub of Vitamin C powder (holland and barrats) and Glycerin (from boots). I mixed it with water (dont think vitamin c powder dissolved very well) but regardless straightaway put some on my arms. I am going to apply some on my face tonight and see how it looks tomorrow.
My question is that can the mix be left overnight and used the next day or do you make a fresh mix everyday?
P.S - Hope it has no dodgy side effects! :)
