Muzna, as someone else mentioned as well, it was purely based on hygiene. we didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings - so my husband just told everyone that we don't feel comfortable anyone holding her. he even placed a big bottle of hand sanitizer outside her nursery for others to use before entering, and yes the scare of SARS/swine flu these days one can be never be too careful. May Allah keep all of us safe and healthy
