visit to naran kaghan on 15th june

Re: visit to naran kaghan on 15th june

Yes possible but leave quite early in the morning from Abbottabad and come back down to kiwai way before it is dark.

Why don't you stay over in Shoogran for a night? It is a nice place with good hotels available.

Re: visit to naran kaghan on 15th june

We dont have much time with us . . . two of my brothers have only one day off . . . .

Re: visit to naran kaghan on 15th june

Salam All,
I will be going to Naran with my husband in late July..

We were thinking Abbotabad, Balakot (Night stay) and then to Naraan ...

I am from the Uk so would like to know what is appropriate clothing.. I get cold easily so wanted to know if a warm jacket would be appropriate or just a jumper would suffice..

Thansk for the advice on places to go.. I can't wait..

u can stay overnight at abbotabad or balakot , there r hotels available.
but in my opinion u have to stay at shogran 1st night and than move for naran.

For clothing, the weather is kind of unpredictable, it gets very cold in nights and usually hot in day time but if there is cloud cover, it will be cold in day time too.. So its better option to take a jacket with you. Jogging shoes would be preferred in case you have to trek a little, they are very easy and comfortable in those areas.

and all the information about visiting naran including, TRANSPORT OPTION`S, ROUTE, CLOTHING, WHICH PLACES TO VISIT IN NARAN, BUDGET every thing is available on visitkaghan.com
you can check it out for more details and i hope u will find it helpful.

Malik saab, even if you have already visited nathia gali, i still recommend nathia gali as sufi did, going to shogran and then coming back in a day can turn into hectic and strenuous trip instead of relaxing and enjoyable one.

though you can go and come back in a day, but you never know where and how many of the land slides you gonna meet en route. and specially area between kewai and balakot is so full of such places which move very frequently, sometimes daily.

go to nathia gali, with no or very little luggage, then go to donga gali (just half an hour drive from nathia gali), then instead of going to ayubia by road, take a walk in Ayubia National Park (which starts from donga gali and ends at ayubia), the trek is not steep at all, offers great scenery. takes almost 3 hours of easy walk. have late lunch in ayubia and then take a taxi back to pindi

many different options are already posted in this thread...

yes weather is unpredictable as many said, a good warm jacket would suffice if it gets colder, otherwise a simple upper would do

Thanx Ace Bhai . . . thats what my brother suggested to go to Donga Gali. . . we did not knew about Ayubia National Park. we certainly look in to that. :k:

Re: visit to naran kaghan on 15th june

Thank you All..

I will definitely take walking soes or trainers and a light but warm jacket..

Thanks for the links.. Can't wait to see all the scenery that I have heard about..

Hope you have a great time there Confucius! I have some awesome memories from trips there with my family while I was growing up :)

ETA: oh, and everyone else going there! sorry, I just read the last few posts :P

Naran and Shogran are actually hotter than the UK on average. Nights can be cool but moreso if it rains.

Stay in Abbottabad instead. At least the weather is better too. Try Thandiani?

there is more to those places other than being just cooler in weather, which is not in the UK, or at least not as much as in Pakistan : )
