You could enter Pakistan on Pakistani passport but not back in the us.. You will need your us passport for that... Form my experience at JFK(NY), they will not appreciate traveling in two passports?.i can just picture hassle for entering back in the us or even leaving Pakistan!
We got the visa for our son last year in a day by visiting embassy in NY ( submitted forms in the morning and picked up the passport with visa at 4:00 pm) I m sure you can do that at any embassy so I will highly recommend that. It took us 8 months to get his NICOP though.
dude.. i would say go to Pak on your US passport with a pakistani visa.
if god forbid you got in any kind of mess there, as a US citizen you will get much more help than as a dual.
GTG, when I will go to Pakistan I will apply for NICOP card there, and then I will return on US passport and NICOP card.
I mailed consulate of Pakistan they said Pakistani valid passport is ok .
Lets see what gonna happen,
will update :D

Not carrying your passport does not void your citizenship. The OP is registered with NADRA, that makes her Pakistani enough for any kind of trouble over here.
So far everything is ok Allhumdulilah, I mailed my USA passport and Pakistani passport to travel agent, and they booked flight. Didn’t ask for anything else
