I just read this sad news on bbc website. I am stunned.
widows have been targeted and humiliated because of incitment by some cleric. This incident is not new. i have followed other similar links on bbc and found that there is a certain tribe 'Santhal' that fear witchcraft to the extent that they commit henious crimes like these. Moreover, personal grudges and eyeing the property and money of widows lead to such incidents.
Most important aspect of this latest incident is that the widows were muslims and were targeted on incitement by a muslim cleric. This is simply shocking. This cleric deserves far more severe punishment than the rest of the guilty.
