Till till now he has been only charged with carrying brass knuckles as it is illegal to carry them in Texas. What a moron ! Anyways we will know more about this case on 3rd Sept when is produced before the court.
I agree with you that US authorities are being over zealous. But I don't think they really have a choice. Not a single attack has taken place in US since 9/11. Contrast this with the pathetic situation in India.

if this guy was giving a lecture on terrorism then why doesn't the educational facility or the university that he was asked to give a lecture in, speak up for his sake??? why did he have brass knuckles in his luggage?

Let’s wait till 3rd Sep till condemning the poor man as a terrorist and link him with RAW’s insidious designs of world domination.
Those who want to crow about Indians’ involvement in int’l terrorism may want to look towards Uganda where recently 2 Indians who were assembling a bomb were killed when it blew up accidentally in their hands .. 
Unfortunately 3 Pakistanis were also involved. ..
