Russia is turing into old Soviet union for sure. Their negative ratings will likely go up in the coming years.
China is trying to open up. They are generally tourist friendly, and the ratings become negative mostly due to the iron-fisted policies of their government. As the government changes, the country ratings will go up.
The thing that most worrisome is the abysmally low positive perception of Pakistan. We have turned our beautiful country into Islamists’ haven. Even though the last two governments have tried really hard to keep Pakistan in acceptable and positive light, we the Pakistani civilians are doing horrible job to help our country’s image.
The worst offenders are the overseas settled Pakistanis. Many of them are much more Islamist compared to us the lowly folks in Pakistan. Compare them to the overseas Indians or Chinese and you will see a stark difference.
An overseas Indian / Chinese jumps up and down 10 feet with every little pro-West action by their respective government. But not in Pakistan. We drag our governments on hot burning coals even if our government’s pro-West actions are to really help out Pakistan. This the hypocrisy of overseas Paksitanis that refuses to go away.
Thus we have a terrible combination of Islamism within, and Islamists from UK and US who are hell bent on turing Pakistan into Islamist Emirate of Afghanistan.
Only Allah can help us from utter destruction. And I hope we get that help. Ameen.
