no Cricketer i am not gay!!!!!!! dravid is one of the heart-throbs of cricket according to many polls conducted all over the world by many desi and non-desi sports magazines, even in the world cup 2003 when he came to crease, girls had plackards stating stuff like: rahul u r my soniya blah blah, and since the world cup i have gave him this nick name which the girls associate with him, now happy? *
So what does jelly do to a ball - make it reverse swing or bounce less? Or just make the wicket sticky…
Dravid fined for ball tampering
PTI TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2004 08:37:58 PM ]
BRISBANE: Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee for “changing the condition of the ball” by match referee Clive Lloyd after India beat Zimbabwe by 24 runs in a day-night game of the Tri-series here on Tuesday.
According to team sources, Dravid was having a jelly in his mouth and accidentally applied it on the ball which was caught by Lloyd and third umpire Peter Parker on television.
The onfield umpires Steve Davs and Rudi Koertzen, it is learnt, did not lay the charges.
The hearing was attended by Dravid, coach John Wright, manager Shivlal Yadav and captain Sourav Ganguly, according to sources.
Lloyd rated it a breach of ICC code of conduct under law 42.3, a level two offence which demanded a level two penalty - that is a fine up to 50 per cent match fee.
Dravid was charged under the ICC Code of Conduct, specifically clause 2.10.
Dravid attended a hearing after the match and was subsequently informed of the penalty.
193/5 in 29.2 .. just 32 more of 28 balls. It is close but not quite. Aussies still have a better chance of making it.. unless a couple more wickets fall or a couple maiden overs are bowled.
P.S: .. and a wicket has fallen.. Ganguly takes Bevan.
