I dont know about Pakistan, but I recently went to my cousins wedding in Dallas, & his bride wore a diamond set for the walima. She's very petite & it didn't overwhelm her the way the heavy gold set did at the wedding. I thought she looked very pretty & fresh - she wore a light turquoise lengha with deep maroon & gold kaam with a diamond set.
