Vajpayee was the main force which kept Coalation working. Moment Modi comes in or even Advani goes back to his hardcore agendas, TDP,JDU and other alliance will break. And we know BJP can not make government on its own. They will be with BJP as long as it has soft stands put forth by Vajpayee.
The only state that BJP keeps winning elections in is Gujarat - Modi must be doing something right :)
