PTI would become corrupt party when anyone commits corruption while in the party (of which there are some signs) but there are some parties whose member claim that corruption is their right.

People used to say MQM would burn down Karachi the day 9-0 is raided, and look how well under control the whole situation has been. If a crackdown on PPP’s criminality finally happens, they just like their partner MQM, would start howling anti-army garbage and that’s about it. It would be a good thing if it happens, let the public see that PPP and MQM hate Pakistan army just as much as Taliban.

All parties in karachi keep their militant wings for sure. MQM , ANP , PPP , before it was PPI ( which was very much pro muslim league )
They are bound to keep it because of to have balance of power in their repsective area. ANP and PPP were using local criminals as their Ally ( like groups of Lyari ) For ANP it was not difficult at all as all pathans have ammunition with them and easy to get the criminal ones towadrs ones side.
MQM was much organized as they develop their own militant wing. initially militant group was justified ( by their leadership ) for balance of power among other criminals having ethnic backing as well as against JI . JI have a very strong and trained group of Jiahdis ( trained in kashmir camps ) who when come back to karachi are used by IJT to gain control in various educational institutions. These IJT Jihadi’s were very strong and very well trained.
I still remember the day I was in DJ college . It was after NAjeeb killed and many PSF members were holding the college ( main building ) I saw a Jihadi coming alone with a KK in his Klashn jacket and all the PSF rangguts run away even they had pistols …
So no one is clean here in karachi and try to keep militants ready.. For PPP and ANP it is very easy to dis-engage as these are outside groups used giving them political backing for day to day cases but they were not part of party most of the times.
MQM case is different as they were not having groups readily available so they have to develop.
This city is a jungle so you have to grab power to survive.

What business does JI have of putting armed jihadi commandos in the middle of karachi in war gear? Ironic that they’re a religious party. A jihadi is no longer a jihadi if he turns his violence on other muslims and in general people who believe God. Do those imbeciles realize that?
