I am surprised about the crocodile tears that are being shed here. I am an Indian and am a practising Catholic. I personally have never felt any discrimination. True there are stray incidents, but it is nothing that needs to be alarmed about.
You can take your misplaced crocodile tears elsewhere.
@ them comparing a country whose top two leaders are religious minorities (with one also being a racial minority and an immigrant) with a country which has religious bigotry all over its laws. In India the problem is extremists; in Pakistan there is a majority consensus behind the bigoted laws. Name the last time there was a protest by Muslims in Pakistan calling for equal rights for minorities.

Did you read my statement before you jumped to making conclusions. I said that there are issues, but none of them are as alarming as made out to be. The govt is doing everything possible to rein in the extremists which are few.

you have got another indian christian here who can vouch for the secular status of india... however i do agree things like that happen...but the beauty is that these culprits would be caught... it is not like the whole populace is involved in these kind of atrocities.. but a few do and is very much a small problem.. but nevertheless at the end of the day it is human life... .and it should be valued.. at some point i am sure these elements would be eliminated... secular india is what indians want and that is why congress has been ruling for a while...
i am yet to face any discrimination in india .. and maybe i am even more patriotic than an average indian..
