US shame games

Who gets the most medals each time?

It's less about the medals and more about the national shame, I thought that was simple enough a concept to grasp?

I think the olympics was once described as a substiture for war, well this year we'll have both and lots of shame for the US in both respects.

thats a typical American overreaction,

nothing surprising

goes to show how unreliable Washington Times is..

God bless the American flag. :)

Oh well, it doesn’t look like anyone’s going to be there any way Chota:

Organizers: majority of Athens tickets still not sold

http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/news/story?id=1813692

I wonder who specifically the potential ticket buyers are afraid of, Americans?

read UTD’s post, your article is not even true…

Whoever gets the most medals, get to wave their flag the most.

Stu, link not working…

:hehe: still funny.

This man truly is a source of shame for the good citizens of the US.

When he’s able to prevent himself choking on a pretzel and staying upright on a bike he comes out with these pearls:

“Iraq war as heroic as WWII, Bush says”
http://www.abqtrib.com/archives/news04/060204_news_bush.shtml

:hehe: oh man this is too much. :hehe:

The irony in the situation, which of course is beyond vast swathes of the US, is that yes indeed there are parallels between WWII and Iraq. The US taking the place of Nazi Germany and Iraq the invaded Europe.

However, the Nazis didn’t hide their flag at the '36 Berlin olympics :hehe:

^ I guess you get another "F" in history.

The annexation of Austria which was Germany's first expansion into Europe didn't occur until fully two years ** after ** the 1936 Summer Games.

You just never let the facts get in the way of a good story do you?

Nazis have been around a long long time old man. Would you say the US has annexed Iraq yet?

All we need now is an Arab Jesse Owens.

“Oh say can you see…”

See what? :hehe:

Compared to how old I presume you to be, it probably does seem like a long, long time. Compared to how old I am, seems like only yesterday. Relativity.

When they add stoning and beheading to the list of Olympic Sports, I'm sure you will find one.

The Blood-Splattered Banner

Oh, say, can’t you see, war-mongering is your blight,
What so proudly you hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, so readily ignite.
O'er the ramparts you watch, the innocents screaming.
And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in Iraqi and Afghan air,
Gave proof through the night that your madness was still there.
Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of 'once' free and the home of the brave?

Just another verse until I fell the need.

verse 2

The truth dimly seen, for the majority of sheep,
Where the foe's are seen everywhere under your noses,
What is the chance that you’ll get your bo-beep,
As Bush fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the steam of the morning's first yellow stream,
In full glory of it’s followers it reflects a grand fraudulent scheme;
'Tis the blood-spattered banner: oh, long will it wave
O'er the land of the ‘once’ free and the home of the brave.

That's just not funny any more I feel sick.

verse 3

And where is that country that on human rights swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
Should be dealt with fairness and justice to score?
Innocents blood has wash'd away this delusion.
No refuge could save the innocents from the air wave.
From the terror of America or the gloom of the grave,
And the blood-spattered banner over misery doth wave
O'er the land of the ‘once’ free and the home of the brave.

Well I started so I finish.

final verse

Oh, thus be it ever when evil men shall stand,
Between their loved homes and the others desolation;
Cursed with malice over peace, in the hell-bound land
Yet they Praise the Power that has made this nation.
Then conquer they must, even when the cause is unjust,
And this be their motto: "In others wealth is our trust";
And the blood-spattered banner in misery shall wave
O'er the land of the ‘once’ free and the homes of the worlds brave.

Don't forget suicide bombing, "whoever kills the most cafe patrons wins the gold". They are the true heroes in most Arab countries, forget Jesse Owens.

Don’t forget the bulldozing of homes and killing of innocent women and children. The more they kill the more praise they get on the capital hill and more ammo to kill more. Yes forget Jesse Owens.

Chota, you are a star. :k:

mawarid,

I’m glad you spotted the above four verses were the American national anthem with a few words shuffled about bringing it up to date, it appears some ‘patriots’ didn’t get it :hehe: shame on them, shame.
